Although we opened our Simpsons Cheltenham shop in 2009, fish and chips have been in our family for nearly 40 years. We are firm believers the best fish and chips should consist of good old, no nonsense natural ingredients... fish, potato and batter - thats it! Our batter has no MSG, salt or bulking agents and absolutely no artificial colours or flavouring. With us, you know exactly what you’re eating - simply tip top quality fish and chips!
We recycle all card and glass used in our store, and have ecolight fittings and sensors throughout. To take our friendship with the environment to the next level, we have asked for permission from the council to install solar panels - Golly!
And we take training seriously. That’s why all of our staff have the opportunity to gain any relevant qualifications they choose. Currently they hold 13 Food Safety Lvl 2 qualifications, 5 First Aid Lvl 2, 2 First Aid Lvl 3 and many more.
We hold a wheat and gluten free fish and chip frying day on the last Monday of every month 4.45-9.30pm. We have completed a comprehensive risk assessment to ensure that our customers can be confident of enjoying fish and chips safely. Everyone is welcome to come along and we hope you will encourage anyone you know with Coeliac disease or an intolerance to gluten or wheat to come along to support us. Please note there will be a restricted gluten free fish and chip menu on the day, our regular sundries such as pies/burgers will NOT be available as they may contaminate the gluten free fish and chips preparation and hot food areas.
